Packing Away the Xmas Lights
Wednesday, 7 January 2009 17:37:07 GMT
I’ve just packed away our Christmas lights, and I’m feeling pretty smug as opposed to the rest of the gaudy red flashing santas, with dangling electric wires, stretched across wet grasses, just waiting to electrocute the postman, our pretty blue fairy lights, were powered by daylight, and looked all the better for it, I don’t want to be a Christmas scrooge, but as much as I love getting into the spirit of it all, I don’t want a whopping electric bill either in January. Which is what we’re all about at Blinking Sun looking at ways to work with what we get naturally, without being all hair shirt about it.
At this time of year there’s not much happening outside, and even if there was I’m not sure I could stand the cold. Apart from a brave dash to throw some fleece on some tender plants that’s about it. So attentions are turned to sorting sheds, leafing garden magazines and looking at ways of improving your garden. It’s a chance to reconsider how to improve your outside space, could your patio benefit from some mood lights, how about the pretty Magic Globe Multipurpose Solar Light, or do you have a dark side entrance, or some steps that could do with some extra illumination, the Solar Security Light 30 LED might be the thing to avoid any unnecessary accidents caused by fumbling in the dark.
We hope you enjoy using our site and find some ideas to make your outside areas work and look better, here’s hoping for a mild February!
